Content management system example.

Welcome to my Content management system example. Solution example: Eastwind Content Management System

In the mobile content market, there are more and more players and competition among providers is growing. The Eastwind Content Management System (EW CMS) is designed for aggregators and content providers who need a powerful and effective business management tool. EW CMS is a content management platform that allows a provider to provide its services to any telecom operator.

EW CMS automates business processes to work with partners, operators, sub-providers, the formation of VAS-services and implements the provision of mobile content according to the following principle:

Calling the service

The subscriber requests the service in the content provider providing system (EW CMS). The call can be generated via such transport channels as SMS, USSD, MMS or via the provider's WAP site.

Content Creation
Google Translate for Business:

A request from the operator's transport systems is transferred to the EW CMS. Since the system can store not only the services themselves but also links to them, there are two options for generating the required content. If the services are in the provider (aggregator) system, EW CMS finds the required content and all its attributes. If the service is stored in the sub-provider system, EW CMS downloads it using a special application (HTTP interface).

Sending content

After the required content was found by the system, it is delivered through the appropriate transport:

    SMS, USSD

If a subscriber's request was generated for a service provided in text format, then the content is sent via SMS or USSD operator centers via SMPP version 3.3. and higher.

    MMS

Via the MMS-center of the operator, pictures, logos and various multimedia files are delivered via the MM7 protocol. If the subscriber's mobile terminal does not support MMS, the content is sent via the WAP gateway using the WAP-push protocol.

    WAP

WAP is used when delivering files with a large volume, such as color images, ringtones, video, games. In this case, before sending the content directly, EW CMS generates an SMS message, which contains a link to the URL to the requested resource. After that, the subscriber, using the specified address, download the required content from the system. EW CMS, based on the mechanism for generating an SMS message from a URL, does not transmit the service itself to the MMS center of the operator but sends only a link to the source.

FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES EW CMS

The implementation of the described scheme of work EW CMS provides the functionality of the system, which takes into account all trends in the development of the mobile content market, the needs of providers, aggregators, and operators' requirements. Therefore EW CMS provides the following functions:

storage and management of the content database

    content downloading

    receiving requests and sending messages

    content rating

management of access rights to system resources

    interaction with operators

interaction with sub-providers (right holders, service providers, content providers, brand providers)

keeping statistics on operators, providers and services provided

STORAGE AND CONTROL OF THE DATABASE OF CONTENT DATA

The solution implements mechanisms for working with text, voice, multimedia message types based on content cataloging (assigning the necessary attributes and properties). Specify parameters such as the identifier, source, content type, volume, description, etc.

Logical partitioning of resources is not mandatory. It is possible to work without splitting, but cataloging is preferable, as it simplifies the search for the right resource and content management. In the EW CMS, there are two fundamentally different types of resource partitioning into groups, which can be used either individually or together. It is a tree structure and a faceted structure. A tree of resources is created in the tree-like directory, similar to the folder tree in the Windows operating system. This structure is the standard way of organizing content and is often used on the sites of content providers and aggregators. Facet classification implies the creation of different classifications (facets) for each type of resource, the definition of values for each facet, and the assignment of them to each unit of content. If one of the facets was not or can not be defined as a resource, it is assigned the status of "not defined" or "meaningless".

EW CMS provides such opportunities for content management, as creation, deletion, editing, structuring by subject groups, etc. In addition, the EW CMS system can automatically convert the message format, for example, transliteration of text (conversion of UCS2 messages into Latin coding) or resize the bitmap. This feature allows you to customize the display quality of content for the most popular terminal models.

LOADING CONTENT

Content can be downloaded to the database in various ways:

using the web-interface (automated workstations (AWS) of the system).

    HTTP interface

special applications (API interface) that allow you to automatically download content at a specific time and with specific sources.

Moreover, it can be uploaded as a single file, or as a whole package (a set of files). Third-party databases of service providers, brand providers or content owners, web-resources or disk media can be used as sources of content.

RECEIPT OF REQUESTS AND COMMUNICATION TRANSMISSION

The system has several scenarios for receiving service requests. First, the subscriber himself can form a service call, for example, from a WAP site (via a WAP browser) or be using content information reflected on the provider's HTTP site and in the media.

Secondly, the provider can receive a call from the operator, which redirects the subscriber's request to.
