Welcome to my how to make money from home-vii.

There are a few years, I never thought I'd be at home mom. The thought had crossed my mind; I just did not think it could be financially possible. There is one thing about my employment status I envisioned even less, that of contributing to the family income by working from home ... well to be successful in direct sales! The what? Direct selling Direct selling or, you know, be a little saleswoman "insert name of a see here." Ben, it's me, the little saleswoman and much more!


My main occupation is not changing, I am first and foremost at home mom and proud of it! However, I discovered, with direct sales a way to contribute to the family income by working at the frequency which I like. No inventory management which eats away the time, not really possible losses. In my situation, so the opportunity to perfect business!

As I had some prejudices there not so long ago, I decided to explain the operation of direct sales and give you some advantages that I see a mom at home! In addition, demonstrations are in, so I rely on that article of the blog Ton Petit Look!

Basically, how does it work?

There are several companies with which one can become the independent consultant or salesperson and work from home. The basic operation is rather similar: you buy a starter kit which includes products for demonstrations or samples and receives training (increasingly via a website, webinars, videos). Then you have to find customers or hostesses demonstrations (a neighbor, a friend, our aunt), and go!





A demonstration will often bring another because the hostess receives free products or benefits and that usually pleases a guest on site who loved the products but can not afford to buy everything. In the case of companies which operate mainly through catalogs campaigns (or there is not really demonstration to do), the importance of starting the contact network is paramount, unless you like going door-to-door!

The basic investment varies from one company to another, but often the cost of the kit is quite similar to that a first demonstration campaign or an average relates. So just a beautiful first presentation to start making the profit!

Most companies offer benefits to representatives who recruit other representatives and there are some prejudices that leave from there, as some see it as a pyramid scheme. If that were the case, it would not be legal, and many companies have to change their system or to close their doors! The advantage of direct sales representatives in good comes from the sale of products, not recruiting! For some companies, recruiting will climb the ladder, for others, it will increase the percentage of profit from the selling of its own sales and help bring together a team to which it will also make a certain profit. Whatever the benefit, a representative may also want to recruit that in order to have a team to motivate to develop leadership skills in order to a possible return to work when the kids are older.

Can one become rich?

No ... and yes! There are wonderful success stories in every direct selling company, but there is no magic in life. It is not enough to invest in a business start-up package for direct sale to get rich. It takes two other key elements have a social network that let us present our products and believe in what we stand wholeheartedly (to be in love with the company and with the products!). Then it takes perseverance and organization to control followed, keeping contact with the hostesses and customers, keep a diary to remember everything, etc. Finally, the income-dependent course of the time that one wants to give to our company! The income of a counselor who made four demonstrations a month will be different from that which in fact only one.


The greatest richness that direct selling, in my opinion, is the scheduling flexibility and total control of our agenda! We do not want to babysit? It starts only available when our spouse is at home, it's as simple as that!

Becoming a Consultant for a direct sales company?

It must first choose the company, it's simple, right? Maybe not so much! I really advise looking at the products offered and ask whether we see each represent this product ... if one is proud.

Then, the usual operation is via a representative for a starter kit. If you do not know a representative, go to the website of the company, you will probably be put in touch with a manager/ leader/director of your secteur. Once fully satisfied, you buy your kit and you're on!
