How to be a social media strategist.

Welcome to my “How to be a social media strategist”. Social media can be overwhelming for some marketers (especially the novices) who are not sure how to start using it and even more where their social media marketing strategy starts!

Everything you do without a strategic plan is not gonna yield you results that you expect but a plan and stick it is what would! The same goes for your social media efforts. You need to have a social media strategy plan, and you should stick to it strictly. To put it in simple terms, it’s like mountaineering, a wrong move you can end up in a place you never wanted to be. So before you start your journey up, you need a roadmap that you will follow all the time! The whole climbing trip can sound exciting (which is safe) but on the way you can find some fights and some fun experiences, all you have to do is to understand the battles, find solutions, tweak your plan and continue!
It's a brief summary of what all the things you plan to do with your social media and what results you expect from it. You can start by revising where your social accounts and it should also include details: who your customers are, what are your goals, what tools will work with you, what your competition is doing and what tactics and strategies you want to apply.

Why do you need a social media marketing plan?

How do you use your social media? Just like everyone out of theirs, "Oh, it's fun! And just because everyone uses it, I use it too. "No, that's not how you should look for social media, it's a gold pit for marketing (if you use it the right way!)

Any business there will be utilizing social media in one way or another, and if you are not jumping on this band-car now, your competitors will use it and it will stay at the top and grab the attention of your audience even before you could recognize it. When it comes to social media "80 percent of marketers start with tactics instead of targets." - eMarketer Report. [BCTT tweet = "" 80 percent of marketers start wrong with tactics instead of targets. " - eMarketer report.
How to make a social media marketing plan?

Building a proper strategic plan for your business and be time-consuming and can take a lot of back and forth until you find the right mix that will work for your business. At the beginning, you can feel intimidated with this as it will not give you the best possible results for the first time, but once you start working it out (with consistency) it will do wonders! The first you apply it, you could see No results, the first month but you are running your strategies you might (just) see some results, but if you keep up with it and see it for months you will definitely get significant results! Comprehensive, consistent with what you do is the key to achieving the desired results. Let’s go through this step-by-step guide to create a social media strategy that works:
Who is your target group? If your company happens to be products/services for seniors and you use Instagram to market it, it's not gonna give you positive results even if you will do anything right! Find the right social media channels that work for your target audience. For example, if you provide consulting services to entrepreneurs, you want LinkedIn to target while if your company is capable of beauty and fashion products, you want to incorporate Pinterest into your social media plan.

Collect all the data on your target group and analyze it. Find out where your target audience depends, and the social media users fit into the demographic criteria.
Step # 2: Complete your profile

Incomplete social profiles look phishy and give a spammy feeling in the customer's mind. A complete profile, on the other hand, will give a sense of security, build trust and give a signal that you are serious about your brand and are willing to engage with the customers.

Visuals that you should use on your social profiles are compelling and designed to appeal to customers in the best possible way. Any social media has different sizes for headers and you might want to design it according to accidental trimming out of images you designed. Canva is one of the most commonly used (and my personal favorite) tools for social media headers of design.

Apart from the visual, you should write a good bio, which is a distance from what you offer and should include your main keywords, include the link to your sites, contact e-mail, edit your data protection settings to fit your needs,
