Welcome to my Marketing techniques.
Marketing is a single process of managing the production of goods and services, as well as developing a mechanism for their implementation. According to a number of features of this mechanism, a fairly clear classification of marketing methods is used.
Depending on the methods of commodity promotion, there are such types of marketing:
1. By objects and scope:
export. Used for sales abroad;
import. It is used in the form of market research, both external and internal, to improve the efficiency of purchases abroad, and in the subsequent - the sale of goods and services in the country;
interior. Applicable within the borders of one country.
2. On the commodity policy:
concentrated. It is a process of selecting only one market segment and further work exclusively in its interests;
differentiated. It is a process of selecting several segments of the market and working in them;
undifferentiated. It represents working with all buyers with the same strategy and tactics. It is possible if the company produces a standard product.
3. By market share, which the enterprise has mastered:
defensive. The company seeks to preserve the existing market share; attacking. Active position to conquer the market.
4. Demand in the market:
developing - creates demand for products;
conversion - is applied in the event that the market in whole or in part does not accept the goods, by improving the goods and flexible prices converts the negative demand into a positive one;
stimulating - is necessary to revive demand with a low level;
counteracting - eliminates demand, which is not needed;
demarketing - is used in conditions of falling demand for its recovery.
However, the above classification of marketing methods is not absolute. The market is constantly evolving, and, accordingly, ways of working are changing. Therefore it is quite natural that marketing changes its methods and applies new ones. The concept of marketing cannot be identified with advertising. Modern marketing methods do not point directly to the product. This is a consequence of the constant expansion of production. From what marketing methods are applied in the company, and on its organization depends, how effective will the process of selling goods and services?
Principles of marketing activities
All methods of marketing are applied in compliance with its basic principles, namely:
production of goods and services, organized after the process of studying demand and needs;
production of only those goods and services that the consumer needs;
the concentration of efforts on the final result;
use of an integrated approach to achieving goals;
the opportunity to enter the market only with the solution of consumer problems;
orienting the company's activities for the long-term, applying strategic plans and forecasting;
use of strategy and tactics of adaptation of goods and services to market requirements.
